Fatbike
Every fatbike from Surly and Salsa (including the all-new Salsa Beargrease and The Surly Krampus) will be available in every size for you to test ride. Last year’s demo saw hundreds of riders make laps through our fatbike specific demo course. This year’s course will have even more fatbike features to help you truly appreciate everything these great big tires have to offer. For a glimpse of last years course check out the Video Tour.
Studded Tire bikes
New for Winter Bike Expo 2012, will be the studded tire demo fleet. Both standard bikes and fatbikes will be equipped with the latest studded tire offerings from 45NRTH, Schwalbe, Nokian, and Continental. The perma-frozen patch of ice just outside the doors of the Midtown Bike Center offers the perfect proving ground. All demo participants need to sign a release form and provide a valid ID before test riding the bikes. Riders are responsible for any damage incurred during their demo ride. Demo begins when the expo opens. All demo participants receive a free gift courtesy of Freeewheel Bike.
